Water Leak from Concrete Foundation in Pflugerville, TX

This water loss was caused by a leak within the concrete foundation, which was hidden by ceramic tile making it difficult to notice by the homeowner. Water migrated underneath the tile floor to several rooms throughout the house, including the kitchen. The cabinets were installed directly on top of the concrete slab which allowed moisture to wick up through the kick plate and side panels. Due to the length of time between when the leak occurred, and when it was noticed, SERVPRO of Pflugerville had to remove a portion of the kitchen cabinetry. Fortunately it was a small section of cabinetry and the homeowner was still able to utilize their kitchen.
