Onion Creek Floods in Austin, TX
This living room was heavily water damaged after the Onion Creek in Austin, TX crested the creek bank and made its way through the neighborhood. The flood waters left large deposits of sediment throughout homes in the Onion Creek Subdivision displacing families and belongings from their homes. Some homes sustained water damage of up to four feet inside the home. In this particular picture you can see the amount of sediment left behind by the rising waters, making it hard to see the amount of water damage to the hardwood flooring. When rising flood waters enter a home all affected, porous, building materials are deemed non salvageable and must be removed. You can see the example of the demolition in the after photo.
